Chase Freedom or Sapphire cardholders: Redeem 2250 Reward Points for $25 eBay GC

0 Deal Score
3,677 Views
For Chase credit cardholders, they currently have a (10%) sale on redeeming reward points for certain gift cards. The eBay one seemed like the only decent one, assuming you don't have better ways of redeeming your Ultimate Rewards points (i.e., like getting an additional 25%/50% bonus when redeeming for travel with Chase Sapphire).

eBay 2250 = $25

(filter for Sale to see all. Or just search for the eBay one)

For Chase Freedom, the other ones are:
Arbys, Fandango, H&M, IHOP, Krispy Kreme, Lowes, Zaxbys, One4all Happy Moments, One4all Happy Birthday

For Chase Sapphire, the other ones are:
Fandango, H&M, IHOP, Krispy Kreme, One4all Happy Moments, One4all Happy Birthday

And this is new why? I guess you just checked now as this has been the case for the last 6 months or more. It has always been a deal on there. What makes this new?
At least he posted it, unlike you, who are just complaining. Where's the post from 6 months ago?

Yes, I don't check often and I just saw this. I searched "chase ebay" on forums and didn't see it posted so I assumed it was new and might be helpful for others since after searching for "ebay gift card", I see that 10% discounts for ebay gift cards do go to frontpage/popular.
If this has been posted already, please let me know the link so I know why it didn't show up for me when I tried searching.

Thanks, didn't know about this deal. I chose to redeem $100 since I shop on ebay often.

Not bad but I'm saving my points for booking flights.

Wow, this rdcrds person sounds like a downer.

Are you saying that you can somehow redeem 2250 points to get $25 cash on your Chase credit card?

As far as I know, the conversion when you pay yourself back is 1:1. In other words, you would need to redeem 2500 points to get $25 cash (which you can then use at eBay or buy a $25 eBay gift card).
This deal provides a 10% discount when you redeem for an eBay gift card. So you redeem 2250 points to get $25 eBay gift card.

And again, this is only a deal for those who may not have Chase Sapphire in order to receive 25%/50% redemption discounts for travel, or don't really utilize reward partner redemptions.

This is a pretty bad use of points, you should be saving these for travel or transferring to other portals, would get a lot more bang for buck.

That's not for everyone. I never use points for travel / transfer and I have Chase Sapphire Reserve.

It's incredibly rare for someone to have a Sapphire TRAVEL credit card and NOT travel
