Oh, as far as experiences with this. I own it and it is extremely powerful. I have no use for a gas trimmer anymore. Power load feature is great. Pretty decent run time on the 2.5ah battery.

I have one that's a little fancier (16" with the carbon fiber rod), but I can attest that the Ego string trimmers are absolute beasts. The auto load for the string is awesome. Just be sure to hold the string ends behind the string guard, otherwise the line will twist and take forever to load. I also have an ego blower, and have found that just one 2.5ah battery between them isn't enough to handle my front and back yards. I just bought a 2nd 2.5ah when Amazon had them on sale last week. If a pair of these 2.5ah batteries aren't enough, then I'm gonna have to buy one of the combo kits with a 4ah or 5ah battery next. Also, I bought a face shield for using this trimmer, too. It'll easily have you eating dirt if using it as an edger.
