I almost bought this for the same price on Amazon a few weeks ago. I hesitated because of the brand but now I'm tempted again. Am I right to be skeptical?

I can't speak to this specific power bank but I have a different power bank from Baseus that works well.

This appears to use a pouch cell, which are much more unreliable than cylindrical cells which are more common in power banks. I have held out for that reason

It can, but it will wear out very quickly in that use case. Especially as a pouch with a second tier BMS.

Not sure if you're kidding, but that's what LFP is for.

I bought this when it was on sale with Amazon. It's been great for charging my MacBook while on the road. It gives me the flexibility of not needing an outlet in a coffee shop too. I've only been through 6-8 battery cycles, so I cannot attest to the longevity of the device.

I picked one up in Aug of 2023 and it's been rock solid. Been using it daily as a UPS on my macbook for the past 7 months and 0 issues. I also picked up 2 Baseus Qi batteries around that time and they both died within a few months...so I'd say this product is safe but stay away from the rest.
