Seems like a decent deal for an NAD supplement. Anyone used this brand or compared it to other NMN alternatives?

Do you know if there is anything conclusive, studies or whatever that this stuff in general actually works? Reviews on Amazon for this specific product are glowing but it's hard to know what's real or not anymore on Amazon. I tried reading a few articles online, but I feel like I know less than before reading them lol

Man the review on Amazon for this look like BS. NAD+ is "hot" right now, but everything I've seen says that the pills don't do the trick. It's all IM injection or IV.

I am a biophysist by trade and briefly read this 2023 review of NAD+ supplementation studies:
https://academic.oup.com/biomedge...35/7126788

The research on NAD+ supplementation is generally in older people with cardiovascular health issues. It is generally considered safe, did increase cellular NAD+ levels, and potentially provides some minor health benefits to that group of people (see figure 2).

However, if you are a healthy person looking for fitness benefits, this will likely do nothing to improve your performance unless you are in the top 0.1% of athletes. Your body synthesizes NAD+ from tryptophan which you get from eating protein and it recycles NADH back to NAD+ during regular cellular respiration. You are many times more likely to run into VO2 max limitations (cardio), strength limitations, or diet limitations before NAD+ levels are an issue.

Just search "low NAD+ levels" and you'll see none of the top results are from any reputable health institute. The people leaving 5-star reviews on these products aren't doing their bloodwork and reporting the results, they just received a product and it was as advertised so they gave it 5 stars. Focus your money on other supplements instead.

Does anybody have any experience with this stuff, because it looks like it's got a lot of caffeine disguised in the green tea extract.

Perhaps it was as advertised. This unknown brand mention testing, but neither on Amazon nor their site show or state anything more. Chromadex, the makers of Niagen (nicotinamide riboside), the most tested NAD raising substance, which is sold under their brand Tru-Niagen and a few reputable brands like Life Extension tested various brands sold on Amazon. This brand wasn't tested, but most fell short, to the extent of none detected. Besides that NAD precursors, NR and NMN are usually used, not NAD itself. And, while there are very legitimate small brands that sell on Amazon, Amazon is full of fraudulent supplements. Amazon has taken the position that they just provide the sales platform, and are not responsible for fraudulent supplements being sold, and continuing to be sold. Thank you for the article.

Thanks to the supplement lobby, I can package sugar pills and call it whatever I want and sell it in the U.S.
The government doesn't provide any oversight and Amazon certainly isn't going to step into that role.

WARNING! Some studies suggest that increased NAD+ levels may fuel cancer growth.

I do not have any studies to share (busy), but please do look it up and do your own research. If someone has good evidence for or against this claim, feel free to share. Not trying to scare everyone for no reason.

Excuse me but slickdeals is not the place for erudite, meaningful commentary. You're supposed to rage at the previous comment because they don't use the same brand hdmi cable as you

In regards to nad it's all about absorption. I try to avoid the pills. There are some good powder formulations but oftentimes much more expensive. You can get an nad blood test but the key is to make sure the results are intracellular. Bc if it's not getting into the cell then what's the point. I've had success with nad and got my very healthy but older dad on it as well. He remembers things better and less brain fog. Whether that's placebo effect or not I'm happy it's helping

NAD+ is not orally bioavailable. NR or NMN are better choices.

Well your first mistake is misspelling your supposed profession.

It's biophysicist, not biophysist.
