Factory blemished is not "close" to new, it IS new. Homedepot has a contract to sell Ryobi tools, nobody else is an authorized seller. So DTO sells new Ryobi tools as "blemished" even though they are identical to new to get around this. Their "reconditioned" tools are used, returned, and repaired.

You can buy Ryobi tools on Amazon as well
Not if u purchase from an authorized reseller on Amazon. There is a few
It's a cool tool. I'll get one eventually, but this isn't a Slick deal.

In the past 3 years, when I called to file a warranty claim on tools I bought from ebay (A snowblower and 2 batteries), Ryobi went by the tools serial number/manufacture date. They never asked where it was purchased or for a receipt. 🤷
I didn't get a code for signing up. Was automatically applied or emailed?
Unless they decide to clear it out I can't see them making it much less expensive than this.
This doesn't matter. If it within 3 years of the manufacturing date, they'll fix or send you a new one. I literally buy "for parts" Ryobi tools on ebay that haven't obviously been trashed or tampered with then send to Ryobi Rapid Repair and I get brand new tools usually. All you need is the serial number usually found in product photos, register it through Ryobi (this is where you can plug the ebay units serial and see if its still within warranty), and request a repair
