Seems like a decent deal for a 3080. Wonder what the wattage is tho

Not a bad deal for 3080. What is the VRAM capacity?

How are Acer refurbished laptops? Does anyone seem to think that these are good enough conditions to be worth the asking price?

Cons:

Speakers are disappointing, lacking volume and clarityPlastic chassis feels less premium and is prone to flexLarge footprint reduces portabilityNo video output over USB-C (limited to HDMI)RTX 3080 has 8 GB VRAM (not 16 GB) and lower TGP

Pros:

High refresh rate (360 Hz) for smooth gamingStrong CPU/GPU combo for the priceEffective cooling systemGood port selection and expandability.

You can get a new Acer or Asus laptop with an RTX 4070 and DDR5 for less than this price, and that's been the case for the last couple years now. Same 8GB VRAM, and 140watts GPU power. I don't see any reason to get something this old and used at this price point unless the specs are better. Also, Nitro is the Acer budget gaming line. They're not bad, but there are some corners cut to hit the price point. Why not get a new Acer Predator Helios with a 4070 for $1k? And this Nitro only has a single HDMI video output, whereas the Acer and Asus 4070 laptops have 3; HDMI plus two USB-C with video and USB-PD charging.

This has a low core count, not much RAM and 1080P is way below what a 3080 can do. This is also a lot of money for a refurbished computer. at least it had a 2 year warranty.

Not really sure what "way below" means. 3080 can't push high frames in 4K on AAA games. 1440p would be great but 1080 isn't necessarily a deal breaker. There's a lot of factors here. This is 360hz so it prolly leans more on the esports lower res higher frame rate.
