It has lightning port. It does not have usc-c port
Not such a great discount for a discontinued product, but the touchID on the keyboard is really fantastic especially if you combine it with a Mac mini which unlike a laptop doesn't have TouchID built-in.
The version without numeric keypad is much less expensive and I actually prefer it but that's a matter of personal preference.
FWIW biometrics are stored on the computer's secure enclave, which means if you use it on a laptop you don't have to rescan your fingers on the new keyboard.
Thanks for the heads up. Didn't know there were 2 versions. Would rather get USB-C but $200 is steep.

It's helpful to know it's the one with Lightning. Can't find anywhere that has the USB-C discounted. Bought mine on Amazon back in January for $199 and I really like it. Tactile, the Touch ID works perfect, and the USB-C comes with the Globe key that you can use for emojis which the Lightning version doesn't have

Using Chase UR points can get the USB-C version for 19900 - 25% (w/ CSP) + tax = 15920 UR points. Or 19900 - 50% (w/ CSR) + tax. White keys version is 17900 points. Includes shipping.

This Lightning version does have the globe key for emoji; it's by the delete key.

I think this layout is better but if you're switching back and forth between this keyboard and a modern-ish macbook with the globe/fn key in the very bottom left where the control key is here, it can be kind of aggravating

There's nothing that integrates with Mac's better. The Touch ID would be cool.

But yeah, an obsolete port that they should have stopped designing into products 10 years ago. Hard pass. Kind of crazy we bought an entire mac mini for $400 and they want half or almost half of that for a keyboard.

Won't any keyboard work? Sans TouchID…

Because the lightning connector end connects to the keyboard but the other end is still USB-C, it doesn't really make much difference.

Yes. Save your money, unless your disposable income is significant. Even then, save your money.

You can spend half as much and get something more comfortable to actually type on. I'm a fan of Apple, but not most of their magic peripherals.

Nearly as expensive as an iPad. Who is buying this junk?
