Pretty good system, a bit older but for low to moderate workloads like browser and office work, it will work well.
I've used several different enterprise-grade laptops and HP's Elitebooks are personally my favorite, they're solid and dependable, and nothing like their consumer line of laptops.
For $325 it's a good general purpose machine that should last decently well.

There is a similarly spec'd version with touchscreen if you're looking for something. It's Win11 Home vs Pro, but same cpu, ram, and disk space, but with the touchscreen. https://www.ebay.com/itm/16749879...1875.m1851

Uh yeah, it's a used refurbished laptop. 1 year warranty is pretty generous tbh. What all do you expect for $300 😆
Most new laptops only come with a 1 year warranty.

We all have that one manufacturer that we have had problems with, and we promise ourselves we will never buy from again ...

Yeah, totally understandable. Just want to note that their Elitebooks are a completely separate business unit (HPE) than their consumer line and printer divisions (HP). I would not recommend anyone buy either of the latter two, but I've had really good experiences with their Elitebooks.

Don't do it. You already know better plus this is a HP refurb, it's already broken once and it will break again. I'd be shocked if HP even fixed the original problem with it.

Did that help?

HPE does not make elitebook laptops. Also, HPE is a different company, nothing to do with HP

I agree. I used this laptop for work. It was great. I was able to run multiple screens and never had any hardware issues. The build quality is great, although as others have mentioned, the screen isn't the best.

Even a potato is good enough for browser or office work. Even a 2015 PC runs office software and browser. So that's not saying much.

This laptop is far, far better than that. It will do Skyrim on 720p. Possibly even 1080p low.

Any info on the screen? How is the screen on this laptop? Most important specs for me is the screen since I don't care about the speed

Hmm, you might be right here. I thought they did (and maybe they did at one point) given the massive difference between their Elitebook/Zbook lines compared to their terrible consumer products, but looking around now all I see are their server, storage, and networking products.
