Made in Germany. Seems like a great deal if you need a set, and the block has room to expand.

The gourmet line is stamped instead of forged. It's the wusthof classic that is famous.

Great deal. Wish I needed these. I paid more for the chef knife alone.

This is a great starting point for anyone building out a kitchen on a budget.

But if you don't need the knife block, I'd go for this $40 Cangshan set that comes with a Santoku and a utility knife. The scissors here are nicer too.

If you prefer a knife without a Bolster, their D series chef's knife and santoku are both 50% off right now on amazon, $30 and $22.50 respectively.

Cangshan knives are the same alloy, but they're fully forged. I have several of the "German Steel" Cangshan knives and they can go toe to toe with Zwilling, let alone the stamped Wusthof stuff.
