On sale for $449 with no tax if you log into the NEX website and click through to the Home Depot Banner at the bottom of the main store page. WA tax is 10%, which is a significant savings for me, but there was no pickup option so I have to wait 5 days for free shipping. I'd rather save the $47.62.

Why are you bothering with the hassle of going through the NEX, there's no tax advantage? It's the exact same price if you go directly to the Home Depot website.

I attached pictures to the original post showing the NEX price with no tax, and the HomeDepot price showing $47 in WA tax... No tax through the NEX from Home Depot.

I have this exact smoker. While I do like it, the annoying hassle of having to vacuum it every 2-3 uses or else the auger will clog up has me reaching more for my griddle than pellet smoker

Are you going through the proper shut down maintenance procedure? I have the smaller one and I'm not having any issues. You have to set it to the shut down mode for at least 25 minutes
