Bought this exact model direct from Greenworks a week ago using the 15% coupon which came out to $433.50 after coupon. Would have saved $25 with this deal. Oh well.
Mini review:

Cut the lawn this morning for the first time. Works well! I am coming from an older Greenworks 40v 19" push mower. Power difference is noticeable and the 22" definitely helps.
It is much more heavier than my old mower. That said, self propel is a neat function that I have not used before so coming from push style, I definitely recommend it! Mostly flat lawn but I can see its benefits.
Although it has compartment for two batteries, only one is "active". The other compartment is storage only. So you physically have to swap out to use a second battery. The 8ah 60v battery is massive as compared to the 40v I had in the past. I had 50% left after my < half acre lawn.
Used bagger only so can't speak to its mulching function nor the turbo mode. Hopefully it works as advertised during fall season.
Highly recommend especially at this price.
This comes with an 8ah battery. There should be plenty of capacity for small/med lawns unless the grass is very thick. I can finish mine with one, 6ah.
Just pointing out the obvious that, besides Ego's reputation, the Greenworks is self propelled and has a dual blade, whereas the Ego is a push mower with single blade.

Greenworks also offers 4 year battery warranty vs 3 year with Ego.

You would need a second battery for sure, if you are using a self propelled feature

Aside from the price, how does this compare to the Costco version?
Do all greenworks models use plastic gears?
TIA

I wonder how this compares to my years old 80v GWP mower? This looks better in every way except for the lower voltage.I only wish it wasn't self propelled. Both to save cost and the fact that battery mowers are almost absurdly light compared to gas, so it's really not needed unless you are frail, or maybe have a monster slope in your yard.Battery power, brushless, 7(!) height positions, light (!), 22", 2 blades. I love all those things. The fact that they mention leaf pickup is also important assuming it's true. Might mean it has the torque I've been missing with mine.

I live in Chicago and with a fully charged battery I can. Mow my lawn and still have juice leftover to edge my lawn and use the blower. Awesome product

Self propelled is nice, even on a flat lawn. It's just easier. I got my senior parents the 80v version. This battery is even larger. I have the 60v 4ah and it runs my leaf blower for a while. 60v 8ah would be a beast.

So tempting. I've got two 4ah batteries, blower, chainsaw, string trimmer, and hedge trimmer in the greenworks 60v series. My current mower is the v60 craftsman from about 4 years ago that still keeps trucking along, but the battery (7.5ah) is showing signs that this might be its summer that I'm able to mow the entire yard on a single charge. What to do...what to do.

Yeah these batteries are great. I can mow my .45 acres on my 5mah battery easily with this mower, using self propelled the entire time. It still has juice left when I'm done
