I got this last year from LG for about same price.

- very aggressive curve but you get used to it quick. I personally like the curve
- text def not as sharp. It's basically a 32 inch 1440p monitor with extra on sides
- gaming looks fantastic.
- MATTE screen, so doesn't "pop" as much as the glossy screens but less glare
- been using about 12 hours day for a year. 8 hours of websites, text, email etc and couple hours of gaming and movies. Zero burn in

I am a sub 200 dollar monitor guy. Id be somewhat sad if text didn't look so great on it.

What's the difference between this monitor (39GS96QB-B) and the 39GS95QE-B model

The 96QB version has USB-C support to both charge your connected device and act as a second display.

IMO the matte screen would be a MAJOR upside over glossy screens. at least compared to the Alienware OLED glossy screens, I've heard that Samsung has different material on the panel which doesn't have this same issue but i've no experience with it.
they are an absolute NIGHTMARE to get clean if you get literally anything on them. there's so many Reddit threads that talk about this issue. and most of them aren't even at the fault of the users; Dell packages these monitors in the absolute worst way possible and tapes some sort of odd material to the front of the monitor that leaves residue on the monitors. and if you try to warranty it, they simply sent you another used monitor that has the same exact problem.
the image on the Alienware is incredible, but i will never buy another monitor from them.

I also prefer matte. I think i'd prefer a less aggressive curve though.

i thought the same before buying one, i would hate 800r curve on a 16:9 screen, but with it being an ultrawide its not nearly as bad as i thought it would be. Actually kind of perfect for the size

Had bought the 45 inch version of the same, this resolution in anything greater than a 34 is simply too bad for any productivity.

I got this from Best buy on an open box deal. And it costs slightly more than this this is a really good price. The screen is great, I would recommend to turn HDR off in regular windows, if HDR is on it does make reading text a worse experience for sure. Hdr on when you're playing games. It's a little annoying to switch it but it's totally worthwhile.

It's not actually full matte like on the Alienware, it's an anti-glare coating. This means colors pop just as well as on glossy surfaces. Just check the reviews online.
