Thanks, OP! Good deal (for this particular option)....but I purchased a single one of these (years ago) and have been refilling it with larger rolls of packing tape ever since, which is much more economical when purchased in multi packs on Amazon.
The quality of the tape may be somewhat better with Scotch brand, but for general purposes, the other brands are perfectly fine. Especially if you already have a tape dispenser. It's even cheaper per roll if you use a lot and purchase a larger quantity.
Here's an example:

Good deal, I got the small rolls 6 pack from Sams Club the other day for $10.98. That was 166 Yards.

This is 218 Yards. A simple calculator shows around a 1 cent savings per yard vs Sams.

Yep. My usual is find brands warehouses and shipping companies are using and then find third parties that are selling some of that. I can usually find an offering or two of someone selling that at 1/4 the price of "brand names". Any other approaches you use?

It's also ridiculous to buy 4 cheap crappy dispensers when you can buy a commerical-quality tape gun for 10 or 15 bucks that will last years if not decades.
