Pity the ram isn't upgradeable.

Ooof, the color reproduction will be pretty bad. I get it's a cost cutting measure but this is egregious. That said, not everyone cares about display quality - especially at the $600 price point.

Is this better than the Omnibook 5 deal at Costco?
Seems like the 5 has better specs.

It's only better if you need the lower ram and SSD configuration. I personally need 32gb, so it is a no go for me.

Costco $550 deal has better processor (ryzen AI 7 vs ryzen AI 5) and more storage (1tb vs 512) with a better return policy and warranty. Do we know if costco screen is also 400 nits? If same exact screen, I'd go with costco.

edit: just saw the costco omni 5 has a 300 nit screen according to specs in that thread, so hard to compare without seeing it in person. I think I saw this one in bestbuy the other day and thought it had a nice screen, so bestbuy version might be worth it for some.

One other difference, this one flips to tablet mode, costco does not if that is a feature you want.

Spec sheet for the Costco model says 300 nit screen.

Edit: just beat me to it.

Apparently Ryzen AI 5 340 is 6 cores, not 8 cores

Needed a new midrange laptop for work ($500-600) before the weekend was over, so as I was scouring the deals for things I could get today, I landed on this. In the store, I was a little disappointed at how heavy the 16 inch was compared to the 14. I wish the 14 was on sale. But otherwise, it seems like a very good deal for needing it now. Anyone know if this particular model is made only for Best Buy? I don't see other reviews of it elsewhere.

I think color gamut should be mandatory when posting deals here....
