Here is my comment from a previous deal:
I got mine in from the previous deal. It's a nice rod, and the reel is pretty spiffy. I haven't put line in it yet, but it feels smooth. A 6' medium rod used to be the standard, now we've moved up to 7' or so, but this is just about as good, and maybe better for shorter anglers and people fishing from the banks.
The elite rods have some graphite in them, so they should be better. At least my lite pro from 20 years ago is better than the same era regular one.

Thanks for the input, I set the hook on the one and reeled her in. Mostly so my brother-in-law won't roll his eyes at me when I borrow his pole. Now he'll roll his eyes at the color lol
