Pros: Very light weight and quiet. Extremely fast to get started and go (Typical of all battery powered equipment of course). For the size it does a decent job at trimming around things. It has just enough power for basic trimming, but that limited power makes it great for trimming around things with little risk of damaging that thing if you hit it. The battery has a good bit of power to get a lot done. You get free spools for life with this from Worx (however shipping makes it the same price on Amazon with Prime).
Cons: I have used it a couple of times to edge, it goes through a lot of string to edge (I cleared out a spool in two edgings, but I have a 500ft front plus 90 foot driveway to edge. The light power struggles to take out the thicker grass/dirt (But does great against the regular Fescue). It does feel very cheap, but for the price, it is within expectations.
I will say I got mine from Lowes for $90 and did get the $15 extended 3 warranty for it knowing that it was probably cheaper. But for this price, I would get it again so far. I have other Worx equipment and they have been great for nearly a decade now, so I like the company. Waiting for a deal on a 40v leaf blower to compliment my Gas Powered Back Pack and give me extra batteries for my chainsaws and Trimmer.
Is there a generic battery brand that's working well for you? I love the trimmer but always end up needing to recharge the battery.
I bought a generic 8ah battery on eBay for $40. Works great and lasts long. It even matches the orange color.
Edit: According to Rufus (Amazon AI) it does; for whatever that's worth.
I would expect this to be pretty weak.

I had the non-edger model of this trimmer and it worked great for what it was meant to do. The .060 line is standard size for most trimming and I could trim around my entire property on a single charge (about 40 minutes) as long as I hadn't let the grass grow too long between trims.
It's not going to bush hog through dense grass that's a foot tall, but for 5-6" grass around a mailbox post, landscape edges, base of trees, utility poles, or foundation block, it is hard to beat at the sub-$100 price, especially since the batteries can be used across the Worx line.
