Next time you walk into a restaurant, coffee shop or a small store that is playing music, look around the ceiling area and you will see these type of speakers are preferred for creating an ambiance.
That is one of the common use cases.

Need some decent speakers that are not massive for a computer speaker setup with Audiolab M-one. Might incorporate these as Atmos speakers at some point. Thoughts? Yay or nay?
Interest to find out the use-case for this? Monitors?

This is so good they put "professional" in the title twice! And it's "high performance" too!
Cleaned up the title a tad, but seems like "JBL Professional" is the brand of the lineup and this is a speaker for professional settings, so it's used in two different ways.

I'm just slightly lost, these are passive, so they'll require amp, right?
So I'll stick with Magnat actives from Adorama for $99, these came in and tgey are very good, even excessive as a computer speakers

Wow, these seem really underwhelming even for $103/pr. They are all plastic and only weigh 4lb each. The frequency response of 100Hz to 18,000Hz are like cheap speakers from the 1980's and '90's. I wouldn't touch these unless they were under $35/pr!

The grill was metal. I don't remember what the cabinet was like.
But you're right about the quality. I thought the original first gen Dayton Audio B652 was better and those retailed for $30.

Rufus says yes.
They are easily wall mounted. JBL site says they come with mounting bracket. They can be used for surround sound.
They look like the type used for patio, garage, gym or commercial use.
