I bought this used with a 5AH battery only a couple months after release (was supposed to come with a 4AH when new). It's definitely a rebadged DeWALT DCF899 XR 1/2" high-torque impact wrench with a Craftsman battery and an old dome-shaped LED but, if anything, it outperformed the 899 in Torque Test Channel's testing. I repaired my 899 and gave the Craftsman CMCF940 to a friend so I could stick with my DeWALT batteries. He absolutely loves it! He keeps bringing up how it's so powerful it actually destroyed a stuck axle bolt in an old Honda ATV. "Too powerful!"

Sure, it's nowhere near top dog considering the latest from DeWALT and Milwaukee but it was still DeWALT's most powerful 1/2" impact wrench only a few short years ago so it's genuinely a trade-level pro tool with Craftsman Brushless R+P badging.

Here's the one that used to be mine:

I got this a year and half ago with the 5AH battery for $20 more. Can't comment on whether I would have paid $20 less for the 4AH or not, but I can confirm what the previous commenter said - it's a beast. And it's heavy. I'd buy it again at this price if I didn't already have it.

It's comparable to DeWalt dcf899, to bad the batteries are not interchangeable
