Chinese probably, but definitely not junk. Project Farm rated these gauges highly on YT. Bought this exact model last year and have been very satisfied with it and the build construction is solid.

Keeping one of these in your car seems like a great idea until you discover the batteries are dead. This is why I keep analog pencil gauges in my vehicles.

Mostly its redundant when you can get either battery or 12v powered pump gauges that can actually solve the problem if low.

Most importantly this has AAA batteries and not those proprietary junk batteries that cost quite a bit that other gauges have..

Rufus states that the portion that goes over the valve is plastic. I specifically asked if the center that pushes the valve in is metal and the reply was plastic. This will not last if that is the case. Otherwise I would have been in for 1.

Have 2, they are very accurate. Within .1 lbs of each other. I didn't realize how off my pencil gauges were until I bought these. Some were off 5lbs.
