Geez guys, between the commenter not realizing that 48 oz at $10.20 (21.25 cents per ounce) is cheaper than 62oz at $14.39 (23.20 cents per ounce), and commenter describing trans fats as 'crunchy,' I'm just not sure the comment section of a reese's pieces candy deal is where I'm gonna find the deepest psychological debates.

These are delicious, but be aware that Reeses in general - and these - have a lot of trans fats in them.

They can legally claim 0 grams because the serving size is comically low, but it's clearly on the ingredients as hydrogenated vegetable oil. Trans fats are the THIRD main ingredient behind sugar and peanuts.

And if you wanna know what hydrogenated vegetable oil is, think about just taking some vegetable oil and figuring out a way to make it crunchy. So when you see hydrogenated vegetable oil, just know that you're basically eating vegetable oil cause they just take vegetable oil and make it crunch. So if you wouldn't drink vegetable oil, you shouldn't eat hydrogenated vegetable oil.

No - hydrogenation makes oil gel -- crisco is 100% hydrogenated oil.

Hydrogenated oils are able to go through the intestinal wall and enter the bloodstream, where they build up into fatty deposits in the arteries and veins. They kill tens of millions of people per year.

I don't even open candy deal threads anymore for the candy deals. I just like to watch.

Agreed. These tree hugging health freaks are too much. Makes you wonder if they just eat nuts, twigs and berries for snacks. Also why they are even in this thread just to preach to strangers who are trying to find deals on candy šŸ˜‚

Great deal btw. In for 1😁
