I have the S9 Ultra and I can emulate Switch games without issue
I have this tablet... purchased last year through Facebookmarketplace for $400. The one I have is the 256GB version with more RAM (12GB) and came with a glass screen protector and a drop proof case.
The good... It is relatively fast, nice specs, PERFECT SIZE for a tablet. While OLD, it is still considered the fastest USA 11" tablet you can buy. Fast enough for Roblox at HIGH setting.
The bad... The technology is not the newest (it is three generations behind), Samsung is known for bloatware. There has been a lot of news about "NEW" tablets that will have the SnapDragon Elite CPU (this is what I WANT).
the newest tablets today that use the Snap Dragon Elite CPU for Android tablets and these CPUs CAN emulate Nintendo Switch games. I feel only the newest CPU's can do this properly.
The Tab S9 uses the Snap Dragon 8 Gen 2. Then cam SD 8 Gen 3 and then came the Snapdragon Elite. Point is, this Samsung is 3 generations old regarding technology and it is a DAMN shame they have decided not to update their product.

Regarding features and price, this is not too bad.

I have this tablet, it's fantastic. Now, it's still a tablet so it's still just a larger version of your phone unless you go the Dex route and use it more like a workstation. It's incredibly fast and I wouldn't hesitate to buy at this price.

3 gens behind doesn't mean much when there's been barely any improvements

yeah, the SD 8 G2 is currently the sweet spot of speed and compatibility. They are still saying Turnip drivers for Elite is over a year out. If you want a 11" tablet for games, this is the one you want. The only other top tier consideration is the 8.8 Lenovo Y700. I have both, the Y700 is my tablet of choice due to size, but everything about the Samsung is better (screen, OS, features, built quality, support). You can't go wrong with either one. You can go wrong by chasing the latest Snapdragon chipset, invest a little time in tuning/config and you'll be happier than the latest Elite with unoptimized drivers and settings. This will change in a year or two. But for now, this is the one for 11" gaming.

It does when samsung stops shipping updates after a couple years. Im an android guy but the tablet ecosystem is so garbage.

Ive gone to foldable phone as an all in one device and for me its been the way.
lmfao... i'm talking about the tech... not the software? pls reading comprehension.

in case you still don't get it... my comment was saying how the chip 3 gens ago is still easily viable bc there isn't anything current gen chips need to do that 3rd gen old chips can't. and if you're an android guy.. you'd prob know you can load up diff OS after the eol... not saying i would, but it's something you can do vs apple's trashOS.

His point is just as valid as yours. I actually care more about the EOL on my Tab S8 than I do its relevant performance.

Depends entirely on what you do. As someone mentioned above, for high end use like Switch Emu there actually might be benefits to this older version (for now).

The 8 Elite has caught up and beaten Apple in Multi-core performance, whereas 8 Gen 1 and 2 were a bit behind. It doesn't matter on day to day usage, but at that point the only benefits this has over an A9+ is the OLED screen and more RAM. This is still a good deal though.

Don't forget about the 256gb of sd card expandable storage, something Samsung has removed from it's core business, just like those thieves Apple.

SNAPDRAGON GEN 2 can erasily emulate SWITCH games supported by current emuators

the ODIN 2 is proof of this.... there is no need for a SD GEN 8 ELITE for such things

You're pretty uninformed about Samsung Updates. Go back and check what's accurate before you give info. Plus the fold is crap. It took 14 months, 2 months past warranty for the black crease line to destroy my inner screen. Google it all over the internet. An $1800 phone that lasts 14 months. No thanks
