The phone will work after that but will no longer receive updates causing some issues with security and some apps.

Banking apps will eventually stop working if they need your phone past a specific update.
I can not specifically tell you what apps may start to have issues after the updates stop coming in. That all depends on the app developers and future updates. I can tell you that some apps have minimal requirements for the operating system.

I've had banking apps on super dated phones with no issues. My wife is still using android 10. She has zero app issues. I think your knowledge on this topic is more than the average Joe but not much more.

She'll have issues with those banking apps on android 10.
A few months back some banks/credit forced the app update screen (for security purposes) and then upon update it tells you that your device is no longer supported unless you update the OS for those that were not at their minimum requirement. I had to use their web portal till I found a good deal on an acceptable phone.

My wife has 5 separate banking apps. Android 10 is like 5-6 years old. This phone will not be that dates for a long time. You're acting like it's dated already
