I had Perplexity's research model look at the ingredient list and application. After pulling from 48 sources including YouTube, Reddit, HowStuffWorks, the US Patient office and others, It states:

Conclusion
This toilet cleaner sheet would be effective for regular maintenance cleaning of toilets that aren't heavily stained or mineral-encrusted . The combination of citric acid, surfactants, and mild abrasives provides a balanced cleaning approach that's gentler than harsh chemical cleaners while still offering reasonable cleaning power . However, for toilets with severe hard water stains, heavy mineral buildup, or significant bacterial contamination, a stronger commercial cleaner may be more appropriate initially, with this product serving well for ongoing maintenance .

Recommended Usage
For optimal effectiveness with this formulation:

Allow adequate contact time (15-30 minutes) before scrubbing

Use regularly for maintenance cleaning rather than heavy-duty applications

Consider this as part of a routine cleaning schedule rather than a standalone solution for heavily soiled toilets

Safe for septic systems and environmentally friendly due to biodegradable ingredients

They apparently completely dissolve in the water.

Correct. These are the soap and you scrub with a brush after they dissolve. These aren't fabric that you use to scrub the toilet.

I sprinkle a little dishwasher detergent powder. Cheap and works great.

I've seen people use denture cleaning tablets like Polident that seems to work well too. Also very cheap.

Comet powder(with bleach) is regularly $1 or less at Home Depot and does as good or better job than this. A can lasts forever.

Lysol magic wand & dispose system is the best, easiest, quick & effective method I have noticed. Far far better than any other product in the market.

That's what I've been using. But I received one batch where the pads (refill heads) get soggy right away and sag to the point where they're about to fall off. I hadn't seen that before, but it's happening multiple times, so I think it's a bad batch.

Knock on wood I haven't had a single sponge like that. I have only bought them from Costco during their sales/ discount. Been running fantastic at our 3 bathrooms, no problems so far.
