Not worth it. M4 has been on sale for 800$-850. You can find cheaper M1s on EBay.

Used M1 8gb on its last leg for SSD, battery, capacitor. Design to fail and drop off the cliff after 5 years. Apple decided to use cheap half 5A capacitor to save hundreds of millions

M1 new are 650. Used should 400 or less, but very risky as repair cost are insane like a Telsa

The M1/8gb is a great machine for the person who just needs a laptop. So many folks are like that in life. You know though if you're not that type of person. On the internet somehow EVERYONE isn't that type of person!!!

This though isn't still a good price for a refurb. Once it hits about $300~....I'm going to get one for my kid as they're ramping up the ability to use one. Until then, I'll keep my alerts
