Most newer 16GB gpu cost about as much or more than this entire pc.
I guess if you're playing at Ultra. Should be fine at Medium.

Not too bad for an entry level gaming rig. Not the best deal but it's new and it would play a lot of things.

4060 with 8GB will struggle with modern games. You need 16GB gpu if you want this to last more than 1-2years.

Could use a better PSU, should be fine with an i5, 4060 combination. I couldn't find anything on the PSU being ATX. Proprietary motherboard form factor. TDP 65 watts.

They are starting to come down...I can find some of the 16GB models now for about $350 at MicroCenter.....

I suspect in a couple months we may see entry level builds with 5060 and 9060s with 16GB.

However, as other noted....this will be fine with modern games with the right settings. No you wan't do ultra or will need to turn off a few things....but you can still game.

My College Freshman gamer is very happy with their 3070 with 8GB for all the games. (They fully grasp the value of a dollar....) (Yeah I get the 3070 8gb is much better than the 4060 8gb...but it's still 8gb...)

If the PSU can handle it, you can always sell the 4060 and buy a used 3070 or 3080, add 16 GB more ram, and have a very decent 1080/1440 gaming PC for less than $1000.

If used with a 1080p monitor, then this PC would be more than adequate for desktop tasks, e-sports games, indie games, and even some AAA titles.

This would be a heck of a machine to pick up had they not put in a baby 8gb 4060 combined with 16gb RAM. The memory upgrade will be painful as there are only two slots, so you have to swap out the included 16gb. If you want to upgrade the GPU you'll probably need to upgrade the PSU and making changes on this might not be what you want and any perceived value is out the door.

This is entry good level gaming. Definitely not very upgradeable. The 4060 is supposed to be good at 1440 and 1080. And yes, there are AMD GPUs that are a better value than the NVIDIA 4060.
