EDIT: What kind of sucks - gas prices have surged since the Israel/Iran conflict so this just offsets that pain - still a good amount of savings.

If you meant to ask why bp chose that way, here is a link with more information:

Can you share a specific source that it came from?
I cannot find this offer on your linked page, nor the site mentioned in your quote.
The linked page is titled:
Prime Day is back July 8-11, with double the days and millions of deals
So I ctrl+F searched for "fuel" and no results on that page.
The mentioned site "amazon.com/fuelsavings" talks only about their June deal.
Can you link to the deal info another way?
I also conducted a Google search, but it yielded no results.
"To sweeten the deal, Prime and earnify™ members can get 20¢ per gallon every* Friday until 6/28! And from July 3-6, members can save $1 per gallon, up to a max of 35 gallon limit on one transaction during this time period."

My mistake, it is in a different link. I originally found the deal at the original link I posted by clicking through to the below link.

- link amazon acount to earnify
- use app to find gas station
- when you've pulled up at the pump, enter pump number
then i guess proceed as normalsome previous threads, one of them seems to suggest that using the app is optional

good reading though. my guess was right. they just tried to get away with the British word, to fool people of course.
