Goes on sale at this price multiple times a year. If you miss it now, check again in a few months.

Costco used to carry nice full grain leather couches like the one I purchased around 5 years ago. This one looks lower quality and with top grain leather. If you are going to get a leather couch, you want to get a really nice one or it will not last lvery ong and look bad real fast. Poly and Bark and other retailers sell nicer leather couches for less.

I'd imagine areas that get direct light probably will get discolored over time.. UV rays are brutal..

Good product. We bought the 3 seater and 2 seat for $3k in late 2018. It's survived cat scratches, and two toddlers doodling on them for seven years. We clean them every couple months with leather cleaner and polisher. Other than a few deep scratches from the cat, they've held up great. Cushions are all still fluffy and the frame is solid.

It's the same model name and the link from my order in 2018 still directs to the 2-piece version on the costco site (https://www.costco.com/.product.1183099.html), it's just over $1000 more than 7 years ago.
Looks like prosperahome is the manufacturer? I can take a look later and respond if I find a tag on mine to verify it's the same manufacturer from 2018.

I bought a top grain leather sofa from Costco 10 years ago. Around year 6 the pleather on the side, back of the sofa, and adjacent to the arm rests started peeling. The real leather has held up very well, the rest of the sofa not so much.

Just sharing - my experience is that the root company of this sofa, Hydeline, I have not had a very good experience with their customer service. I am still fighting with them on a reclining couch chair combo originally purchased in February and still havent received fulfillment. -- However, I dealt with the company directly because Costco was out of stock on their products - and I researched enough that the product is worth it -- just that the company is not very good at honoring the customer purchase experience.

The link defaults to gray (and there's no way to change the default) but I still see brown in stock. Is brown out of stock on your end?

It's true that leather is susceptible to fading when exposed to UV light, but so is any couch material. At least leather can look good when faded, worn in and natural. Just periodically clean and condition it. They even make conditioners with the UV protectant to mitigate the impact.

I think the bigger issue is that, if you're in a warm climate, leather exposed to sunlight can get really hot and uncomfortable to sit on. Think about leather car seats on a hot day. Not exactly what I'd want in my sunroom.

Yeah definitely. I live in Michigan. I wouldn't say it's generally a warm climate but it gets quite hot in the summer. I could still make it work if I installed curtains/blinds/shades in my sunroom (currently there's no covering of the windows).

I'm probably going to opt for a different material though. leather is probably too high expensive for that space to begin with
