These dipped to 800 and even a little lower on Adorama through walmart.
I didn't pull the trigger then. Waiting for it to go that low again

Depends on your needs. The M4 is much more powerful, and you're getting 16GB or ram on the base model for less. You also can run two external monitors and have the lid open. On the M3, the lid has to be closed with two external monitors, and that laptop costed more for a base model with less ram.
