It's capable of lifting much more, but I use them when hanging / replacing doors. Holds the door level and at the right height while setting and screwing in hinges. Can be helpful leveling and shimming base cabinets as well.

It would be nice if it was...however when you actually see this in person and compare it to the cheap ones for $35, you will realize why there is a large difference in price. From personal use, the cheap one you can practically bend with your hands before you even put a heavy washing machine under one.
