So the ryzen 9 cpu Passmark score is well over 30,000 and the ryzen 7 Passmark score is 24,000But the big difference is the ryzen 9 has the Radeon 890M which has a Passmark score of 8351 and the Ryzen 7 has the Radeon 860M which has a score of 4855So the 890M is pretty significant in GPU performance. It's almost discreet GPU class performance in an iGPU.

But I just realized this has an rtx 5070 ti. So the iGPU may not be that relevant but the ryzen 9 cpu might make that GPU more usable.

It's only a 100$ savings and the ryzen 9 is a 12 core and the ryzen 7 is a 8 core. It's a 30% performance improvement. To me that extra 100$ might come in handy if you do cpu intensive tasks. It could make things run faster.

It's a good deal! The only caveat is the new ryzen (old rebranded ones) i wish they come with AI 9 395+ max those compete with the ultra 9's (because they both use TSMC N3P (2024)) so you get similar performance where as anything under ryzen 390 uses TSMC N3E (2023) currently only apple gets all the N3X used in m4 apple silicon! Try to aim for intel chips with rtx 50xx series! Nonetheless it's a great performer the ryzen chip in these laptops! I really hope AMD will make their naming system better and be transparent! Intel is more streamlined for this time! Basically the current chip in this laptop is equivalent to last gen intel ultra 1xx series! AMD is smartly deceiving its customers but naming everything in ryzen 3xx series! Just my two cents but hey it's a good device for the money nonetheless
