Yeah no, don't buy this. They didn't acknowledge the cache issues for a long time and then took 2 years to release a firmware update, which they claimed fixed the issue, but there are a million accounts of it not doing so. Even the older P31 had the issue and I'm still having to constantly force a firmware update to stop the massive performance degradation.

They closed down their Solidigm brand too, so the affected drives from that are never getting a fix most likely.

The P31 too? Didn't know that. That's a shame since it is the coolest drive out there in terms of temperature. And it's overpriced as hell.

Yeah it sucks, I'm getting constant slowdown unless I force a firmware update every week or so at this point. It's my boot drive so it makes my entire system slow to a crawl.

Why is it being sold by NE a dealbreaker?

Quality of service and shipping went downhill ever since it became owned by a Chinese company in 2016. https://www.techpowerup.com/22677...se-company

My P31 was affected and RMA'd. They refunded it, but what a hassle.

shitty 4tb chinese ssd are already $80 in shenzhen china 🙃

the chinese memory makers CXMT and YMTC are flooding the market with NAND and DRAM after stealing all of Samsung's technologies. now they are in process of bankrupting Samsung.

yeah I am suffering from this issue. the recently released firmware update unfortunately didn't appear to resolve it at all for me. I've been told a clean wipe of the drive may help, but regardless I am in the market for a replacement. Personally I will not be buying another P41...

Yeah... same, it really sucks. I'm going to clone it onto another drive and then try wiping it and using it as an external or something.
