I have both a BJ's and Costco membership because my dad and I share them; he prefers BJ's and I prefer Costco.
The past couple of times that I've been to BJ's the store has almost been empty.
And pretty much anytime I go to Costco it's packed.
I kind of like that aspect about BJ's..less crowds make it easier to get in and out.
But I still think that Costco has a better overall product selection.
But since he prefers them I will have to check and see when his membership expires.
Hopefully before mid august so he can take advantage of this offer.

Excluding cases of candy and Christian motifs (both at least used to be abundant at Sam's) at Christmas time, how does this compare to Costco (I'm a member) and Sam's club.

EDIT: I spoke with Customer Service and they say if you renew within 2 months of your expiration, the renewal is backdated to the previous expiration date, so in my case I only will be getting 11 months of membership since my original membership expired 5/31/2025, the new membership now expires on 5/31/2026 even though it is already the end of June.
Just an FYI for anyone renewing that might be near the 2 month mark since expiration.

Overall Costco just has more things.
The one thing I like about BJ's is that they don't always make you buy anything in such large quantities.
For instance, if I want to buy muffins from the bakery Costco makes me buy a dozen.
At BJ's I can get six.
But I was just comparing prices for generic Flonase today because I'm almost out and it's cheaper to buy the Kirkland one versus the BJs one.
