To add some context:
For some AMD models, ASROCK has lately gotten a bad rap for having MBs that fry CPUs. The belief is a BIOS update is required to fix, but Asrock says they released the update, and some still claim problems.
Gist: I suggest avoiding ASROCK + AMD for the time being until time goes by and all agree the issues are fixed.

Other way around, the mobos were frying the cpus. Should be fixed via bios update but I'm still being cautious

To all those freaking out about the asrock + x3d debacle. The actual amount of occurances of cpus having issues was pretty small and this seemed to be an issue, while obviously important to note / correct, maybe was being blown out of proportion a bit. Also, I literally built a new PC at the end of May with the 9800x3d, asrock x870 steel legend mb, 64gb corsair vengence rgb 32cl, & asrock 9070 xt steel legend gpu and it has been fantastic! I was aware of the potential asrock issues but knew bios updates had been rolled out for a fix which I implemented by flashing the mb with a USB before I ever even booted & I haven't had any issues at all for what it's worth. Good deal here imo. But I understand if you still have concerns. It is a good chunk of change. Just figured I would give all my own personal experience with these parts on my recent build.
