This is a weird configuration. But with cloud storage and fast usb-c hubs. You can definitely get by with 256gb if you want a 15inch..the price isn't bad

That's true, we can make it work. It just a hassle to deal with low storage these days when all apps require more memory than before

$1,200 for any computer with 256GB of storage is a sick joke.

I am using a Windows laptop at the moment with an m.2 SSD, a 2.5" SSD, and two external spinners.

It is hard for me to imagine going from terabytes of internal storage to 256GB.
