you are not supposed to redeem via statement credit as you forgoe the 1% you get when paying. instead request the cash and pay it from that

This is a CATCH ALL card. You use your 5x or 3x point cards and everything else goes on this for 2x. Its only best for CASH back. You cant transfer for travel.

Just a heads up. Wells Fargo limits non-Wells Fargo payments to four per month. I like the flexibility of paying at least once a week. They only allow 4 and you have to mail a check after that.
