The battery does stick out a lot, but the head does rotate. If you’re working close to a wall or something, you can flip it the other way and be able to get a lot closer. I have this, the ryobi 1/2...

Sometimes you just can’t reach a screw with a standard driver. Like when it’s behind something you don’t want to or can’t move. I would say in general you’re probably better off using the standard...

The one+HP is the 1 2ah battery and 2 4ah batteries but that price is $199. This is the non HP version ($99). FWIW.

I didn't think I'd use mine as much as I do, but boy is it great. Been having a lot of trouble with a cheap wood chipper having to take some really long bolts out over and over to fix it each failure...

Not sure why the photos show both HP and non HP versions, but only shows the price for the non HP. The 199 deal gives you 3 HP batteries vs 2 non HP along with an upgraded HP version of the tool...
