spoke with tech support. he said they're working on the fix for alerts. it's a known issue with all citi costco card users, and a priority which will take about 1-2 days to fix.

If your AmEx billing cycle closed before the deadline, you pay AmEx. But if you are mid-cycle, your charges have been forwarded to Citi and you will pay Citi.

Technically, you could always pay with Visa, if your debit cards were Visa-backed. Credit cards though you'll be able to pay with starting June 20th.

Which AmEx? The co-branded one with Costco will cease to exist; it will be transitioned to a Citi card. You're going to get a new card in the mail that's going to be a Citi branded Visa.

Kirkland is of higher quality than all of the other store brands I've had experience with. Also, their employees are higher quality. Costco is the gold standard in retail IMO.
