It'll may go down to $40 in another holiday sale but how's the d-pad and build quality compared to the xbone and 360 pad? I like that it's usb c and may dump my old controller on offerup because of that.

I got the blue one back when it was on sale for $39 at Walmart. It is basically just an updated version of the latest Xbox One controller (One X/S version). It has slightly more textured grips and it feels more solid. It also uses matte plastic for the bumpers and triggers. I like the D pad and the bumpers feel a bit tighter. Everything seems just slightly higher quality though I'm not sure if that's just because it's new.

I feel like the new Series X/S controllers are better. There are really subtle differences but I think they add up to an overall better controller.
The D-pad is the most obvious change and it's an improvement in my mind. It is very clicky and tactile but feels more precise in the 2-D games I've tried with it.
The slightly narrower angle of the controller also feels a bit more natural to hold.
Lastly the more textured grip around the handles of the controller give it a more premium feel.
I also think the rumble in the triggers has been improved on these newer ones but that may just be my imagination.

Agree with all your points. The new series x/s controllers seem better built and more precise.
I could care less about the added share button lol

I know what you're saying, it feels heavier/more dense than the old one. It feels tighter, and more precise if that makes sense. Doesn't feel as empty and hollow as the old one, even tho the old one is great.
