I bought one of these and it did not work on my Windows 8.1 desktop or my Windows 10 laptop. To be more accurate I actually bought two. One wireless and I used my own USB cable. Nothing. Then I bought a play and charge kit. Nothing. Then I bought one of the ones with the included USBC cable. Nothing. Not recognized properly in device manager, can't find drivers, and even trying to force the issue with third party software came up empty.

That's a knock-off POS.

Grab a legitimate Microsoft brand receiver. I have one of these on a 4-port USB hub running on a 10ft USB extender that also runs my G502 and backlit keyboard, too. Never an issue.

Seems like it will take some time to get it. Shock Blue is showing free prime delivery on September 14th and Robot White is July 30th.

If you're lucky then it'll work flawlessly, otherwise the USB adapter is a life saver. I was constantly disconnecting on my living room PC via BT, bought the USB adapter and it is rock solid. Didn't experience as much d/c on my gaming PC via BT tho

Oh and with the adapter you can connect multiple controllers easily. I have 4 Xbox controllers and playing Overcooked on the living room machine is so much easier. I used to hook up USB extension cord so I can hook up 2 PS3 controllers, 1 wired 360 controller and 1 Xbox controller via BT

Target has this same price right now, and I have a Target Circle offer for 30% off Xbox or Switch wireless controllers that stacks with it.

Can't decide if it's worth driving ~60 roundtrip to go to a store with the Anniversary controller in stock ($69.99) when the regular colors are in stock here in town.

My hunch is no, since I'm just going to use this with an iPad or my Legends Gamer Pro. I love my old timey Xboxes, but nah.

Wow. 60 miles is my total drive for a whole week back and forth to work and I'm unhappy about that, let alone driving that distance to pay $70 for a $40 controller! Embarrassment

Is this a deal? The standard colors are basically always $50 at the Microsoft store.

I mean, I like the thrill of the hunt and having a semi-rare and semi-cool thing. But the cost of the fuel would kill the deal.

I use these on my Windows 7 and Windows 8 machines and both worked just fine with the Xbox wireless adapter (I haven't tried bluetooth).

Cheers.
