It's not the main ingredient, but it is pretty high up there. With the wheat flour and sugar these do seem like doggy junk-food, so if you are looking for a healthy snack, these may not be for you.

Ingredients from a photo in one of the Amazon reviews:
Quote :
Wheat flour, meat and bone meal, sugar, dried poultry by-products, cooked bone marrow, beef fat, salt, corn starch, annatto extract (color), iron oxide (color), red 40 (color), sodium metabisulfate (preservative).

Yeah I'd go farther to say if you're looking for an unhealthy snack, choose these. I don't feed my dog "healthy" treats, but there's many mainstream types/brands without four and sugar. They should be eating protein with minimal fats, not sugar and carbohydrates

Interesting.

What's a reasonably priced dog treat that you would recommend?

Standard milk bone dry dog biscuits are far better. I don't like the mess of those though, so I give my dog the bacon strip treats
