correlation does not imply causation. Anecdotal as well, but my black lab mix is 12 and in great health and has been fed cheap dog food and expensive dog food throughout his life. He might have gotten a bag of grain free once but 99% of his diet is not grain free food.
If anyone is really worried about what to feed their dog ask their Veterinarian.
There can certainly be fake bad reviews as well, but remember with most purchases people are more likely to write a review if they have a very negative or very positive experience. There are thousands of people who bought this dog food who didn't bother writing reviews for it. If I see something with 30% 1 star reviews and 60% five star reviews I might do a little more digging though.

If it's aafco approved it's likely fine to feed to a dog. Purina pro plan, hill's, royal canin are probably higher quality food, but cost reflects that.

I've not seen evidence of fake bad reviews yet though? I guess competition could do that too but usually bad reviews are pretty reliable.
My 12 yearold boxer/dane/pit mix has been grainfree her whole life.
Took her to the vet for the first time in about 4 years last month and the vet said her weight was perfect and she was in great health.
Still has tons of energy when needed..
After a bath and brush her coat is crazy shiny.
No noticeable tarter on her teeth.
I've had dogs all my life and they were never in this great of health, especially at this age and I credit it all to a grainfree diet.
