I've done tons of research on saws in the past couple of weeks. This is supposed to be a great one. If I didn't just pick up its big brother I would be all over this. Rarely drops below this price.

Not worth it, last few of my Amazon warehouse orders have been terrible, got a patio cushion instead of fan, cellphone box with no cellphone in it

You won't FOMO with a 10 inch blade when you need it. The big bro is the better choice.

I'm just a DIY, but I have found a bigger blade is nice for thick off angle cuts. To the other person I would skip the used Amazon, I tend to get burned by Amazon's used stuff, for $15 get new. .

The bigger 10" is $599 right? Not sure it's worth double unless you know you need it for a cross cut sled or something.

Bought this for $339 1.5 years ago, still love this saw. Don't regret it over the 10" either.

I'd also look to get it from Lowes or HD...i'd never buy something like this from Amazon, especially from a 3rd party seller.

I own this saw. I don't think I have ever missed the 10 inch blade, but the lack of dado stack ability is annoying. Make sure you have a router or another way to make rabbits and such.

I almost got this but went with a 10" instead, may not be needef but nice to have the options of a bigger blade. That being said this is a hell of a deal if it works for what you need to do.

I have a good bosh router and router table. Would I miss not being able to use a dado? Any advantage of a dado vs router?

In my opinion, no, you will not miss much. The biggest thing you will want to consider is that a dado stack is usually adjustable with shims, but a router table is going to be fixed to the size of the bit. Ergo, if you wanted to make a dado that is 23/32" for 3/4" plywood, you actually need special undersized router bits to get a tight fit. Otherwise the standard router bit will fit too sloppy.

A dado stack is also easier to use if you are trying to make a groove in the middle of a wide piece of wood. Like if you want a dado two feet from an edge, the table saw could probably do it, but a router isn't going to have that kind of room on the table, so you would need to use a freehand router with a guide or something.

Thanks, I am thinking the same thing. I would love a bigger table saw but my "shop" is a 10' space in the back of a garage. I have a 10 year old Skil table saw that I always fight with, burns and gauges the wood. I have 25 years experience with table saws and used other saws with out issue. So I am guess it is just some alignment issue I can't figure out, plus the fence sucks to clamp and align.

For the size and great fence of this saw I am really tempted to upgrade. Just need to get it by the wife as technically I already have a table saw.

Safety. Kickbacks are much less of a concern if the fence reliably stays parallel to the blade. You need a new saw.

This is an amazing saw, got it for a similar price a year ago.

If you're on the fence between the 8" and 10":

If you have a router table or good handheld, the 8" could be better for you. If not, the 10" is the better option for dado capability.

If you're building and outfeed table or dedicated workbench, then the 8" is most likely your best bet depending on the size of material you plan on using. If using as a standalone the 10" or cabinet saw is better.

10" blades are much easier to find at the moment than the 8" with a vastly superior range of options.

If you use a tracksaw or rip plywood panels down to a manageable size before putting on the tablesaw then either option would work. If you only use the tablesaw the 10" is the much better option, and a cabinet saw the best.
