It's an addiction. Once you have one then you'll get more. I have Sonos speaker or speakers in every room in the house lol
Dont be fooled. These are not sonos speakers. Only thing sonos about this bundle is the amp.

Pretty much any modern receiver supports wifi. Otherwise, plug a 25$ echo dot into your reciever and then it's wifi enabled
This is what I did. Took an old receiver that I knew sounded great, plugged in an echo dot I had lying around, and bought some high quality outdoor speakers. Systems sounds way better than my friend that spent thousands on his

What "high quality" outdoor speakers did you get? Trying to find myself a pair for the backyard but I don't want to spend $1000.

These are durable and sound great for the price - I've had mine for over 10 years and they still sound great although the plastic housing yellowed so I painted it this past year.

Not hating on Sonos. I've heard some nice setups. But I can't justify the cost in my budget.

I rigged both my front and back porches with Polk Atrium 6, mated to Google Chromecast Audio pucks and tiny 100w/ch amps that live in weatherproof boxes all year. Spent about $800 combined for both outdoor spaces. The fidelity is great and they easily fill my property.

They group together in Google Home for whole house audio (indoor pucks too), leveraging existing home theater setups...

You're paying the brand tax, though their products do sound good. So overpriced, but they are the cool thing to own now

I got definitive technology AW 6500 speakers. It looks like they're currently going for 299 each, but they were 199 when I got them. I think they sound great and they have a rear facing "bass radiator" that helps with the bass. They've held up well for me, but I've only had them for about a year so far. I do think they sound great though, much better than the system my friend has

Anyone know if the amp can be stored outdoors? I have a barn and have been having trouble finding something that will work. It would be covered but have the humidity and weather changes of outdoors. Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions!

I really think your kind of setup is the way to go. Being able to make groups with Google home or Amazon echos is really awesome and kinda negates any benefit of the Sonos systems

I've never had a Sonos. Moving in to a house soon. Backyard is wired for speakers. Are these a good set to buy. Can I install myself? Is a Bose system better?
Like someone else mentioned, be careful getting into this ecosystem. I got a Sonos One a couple years ago for Xmas, now I'm over $3k deep in various Sonos speakers. Buyer beware.

Same here.

The Sonos system is amazing. It's strength is magnified when you have multiple pieces.

This setup for outside with a few of their bookshelf speakers from IKEA would be great for whole house audio.

For what it's worth - the amp alone is selling for $800+ on ebay because they are backordered.

If you want the speakers, order it and sell the amp, now you're looking at a pretty good price for good speakers.
