Any other in my situation or owned one or both monitors give some insight? The kvm, I won't use. I have a usb switch already, for work to personal input swapping.

The Gigabyte doesn't explicitly state g-sync compat either.
If money were no object, and I didn't care about the 1" size difference, I'd get the LG.
I personally want a 28", but I'm waiting for the Samsung - Odyssey G competitor to the Gigabyte. It lacks the HDR600 of the LG, but it's brighter than both, 28" 4k, IPS, but downside is less accurate colors on the Sammy.
So yes, no, maybe, idk if i helped~

Thanks for the heads up, just saw the email from Keepa in my inbox about it too
I think the Samsung Odyssey has G-Sync where this one has FreeSync instead, also Hardware Unboxed made a comment in the video that I posted in the wiki about the HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on the Gigabyte being a little low for the full PS5 experience. Personally im waiting for the Alienware AW3423DW to drop in price but thats a $1,000-$1,500 monitor which is more than most people are willing to spend on a monitor. Im waiting until it drops down to like $1,100-$1,200.
The HDMI being capped with a 20GBps connection means that the monitor is capable of displaying a picture and color accuracy that the Port cannot actually receive. In other words, if you are over the 20GBps limit (which occurs as low as 4k, 8 bit color, and 80hz refresh rate) - then the signal is going to be compressed via chroma sub sampling.
Would you or I notice? Probably not. But if you directly compared to another monitor with a full 40GBps port, you might notice. Nevertheless, I think it's BS these are capped at the port. It's basically lying in the specs if you ask me. Yeah it's "4k", yeah it's "144hz" - but not at the same time, not if you want an uncompressed image being displayed.
