Home Depot has an 8pk. for $12., their brand (were about $10+. or so not long ago & free shipping). Only been using them a few months & seem fine, but that's not enough time to know.
I've had really good luck with the Best Buy brand batteries. Every pack of Duracell or energizer alkanes batteries always has leakers. Not a single leak with the insignia(best buy brand) batteries yet (been using them in everything for about 4 years.)
$7.99 for a 4 pack 9v. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/...Id=6458227
for my smoke detectors, i buy 9v from ebay.
they're no name brand alkalines but have lasted for years.
i test every year and the detectors beep fine
Smoke detectors don't need much battery, these are decent, even better lithium in say a Schlage lock situation, otherwise my garage side door burns thru 9v like crazy.

The only thing I use these in are my smoke detectors and I only need them to last one year as I change them out every 12 months.
