Went to get this a few months ago at lowes for this price and they were sold out. But someone had just returned one. The idiots were using the mulch blade with the bag on and wondering why they couldn't get a good cut. They sold it to me for $350. I went ahead and got the trimmer too with power load, and opened a lowes credit card for 20% off. $507.74 out the door 😃

I get mixed up with the model numbers but I think mine is the same as OP. It paid for itself in one season. I could make $1/min on high speed easily.

I now have 2 failed batteries that died at 3.x and 4.x years. There's no support unless you have receipts, and everything is registered.

That is absolutely correct. Same for me, battery died in the 4th year, fortunately it was still under warranty, The helped me registered when it died on mailing receipts, Dont think anyone hands out replacement till like 25 years.

Everyone don't forget to go online and register your products! Yes, it takes some time, but once you have an account and get used to their system it is a bit easier. You need to register the mower, battery and charger all separately, and yes you need to upload a copy of the receipt. Once you do you get 5 years from date of purchase on the battery, not the date of manufacture or first use. If there is an issue with the battery they will send you a new one for free.

This is the end of my 5th year with Ego tools and on my first Gen1 2.0Ah battery failed (blinking red light and it wouldn't charge) they sent me a new Gen2 2.5Ah back then the warranty was 3 years and mine was over 2 years old no questions asked. This works for Amazon purchases as well if Amazon is the seller only. Just generate an online invoice and upload it takes 2 minutes.

No they won't help you if you bought your battery used, or off eBay or FBM and not sure why people on here are complaining about that.

At our store the customers just buy a new battery then put the old battery in the box and return it. We don't mind because ego customer service has become a hassle to work with. They used to be great but have gotten worse as the years go on. I know now why home Depot dropped them

Ego new model LM2167sp coming w/12ah and speed IQ, redesigned handle (green clamp in center rather than sides of handle) that has an info screen tablet facing user. Still has the 4 and 5 series torque though (8.3).

Glad to hear they addressed 2 of my issues (speed control and the handle) hopefully with this newer model they will be resolved.

I know I'm late to the game but EGO is coming out with new mowers next year that will replace most of the stuff that's posted here. If you can wait, I would.

I wonder how that new digital display will work in the bright sun. Adding more features doesn't always translate to improvements. The new one does come with crazy 12Ah battery so get an inverter with it and you are ready for anything https://youtu.be/4lEd8VdccVo

Agreed they fix a few things with the tweaks but cause new issues as well. I hope the new 26" hedge trimmer with carbon fiber is actually lighter. And I can't wait to give this a try, and for those that say no way can it be powerful enough you haven't tried the tiller attachment obviously?
