The person I was replying to was asking about a better quality bit set in the $20-$30 price range. I suggested the Bosch Cobalt set which has been in that price range several times this year. I never ever said it was $10 or anything near that.

Picked up a set from Amazon, any better quality options in the 20-30$ range. Wouldn't mind paying a little bit more for a set that will last me longer, or are these good enough for most home projects.

When and where have you seen similar deals for that set? Cheapest that set has been on Amazon in the last 120 days is $27.41. Current price cheapest is Amazon for $32.25. Cheapest it's ever been listed for on SD was last February for $24.71: https://i.imgur.com/sdSSfmP.png


I'm half calling you out and half curious if you're right because I definitely can't find any history of that Bosch set being anywhere close to $10. I'd love to pay anywhere close to $15 for that set.

Dewalt 4-set 100-pc including one set of drill bits was $14.98 last year. This seems a bit over priced. Even their on sale 110-pc set for $24.98 is overpriced.

Any recommendations for a set with Masonry drill (need all 3 masonry, wood and metal in one set).

I damaged my cheap Ryobi ones last weekend drilling brick wall and don't want another Ryobi (yes, yes, I know… I know…)..

The German made dewalt cobalt bits.
Belts and boxes did a test to see how many holes they could drill through steel.

1. 556 Holes - DeWalt German Made cobalt bits - on sale for $30 for 14 bits at lowes

2. 481 Holes - Spyder Mach Blue - USA Made, less brittle than cobalt, hex end built into bit, also on sale for $30 at lowes, but only 10 bits

For comparison, the Milwaukee Cobalt bits only did 318 holes.

how will this work on a coconut, i got the RYOBI one and it made the coconut and the meat turn "gray/black and the drill bit rusted.
