The dewalt black bits suck. The Bosch brand gold are better. Not sure what black and gold is, but I have low confidence.

Black bits do suck, atleast for wood (not sure about metal/masonry). Black and gold is solid though.

Is gold oxide better than black oxide?
The black oxide is just to promote lubricity while the gold is Titanium Nitride (TiN) which is a high hardness coating to improve tool life. There is also titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN) which is even harder than TiN.Jan 22, 2018

Not a bad deal to pick up a set, not hex shank, not impact rated, drill only...but it'll get the job done. Nice to have a backup set in the shop or in the truck. 10 bucks is cheap insurance for not having to leave the jobsite or house to grab another set if one bit fails.
