We got ours as a gift s as well but did not open it until a few months after receiving (maybe 4 to 6 months after) and it did not work. Praying the button did not start playing sound or movement. Tried contacting gund but if was part their short warranty period and they were no help.
Doing think this happens often as we have two other ones (Penguin & Bunny) and those work perfect and have been for about 12 months so far.
This post is to just remind folks who receive this as a gift to test it out as soon as you receive it.
**EDIT** I would buy at this price if it wasn't that he basically says and does the same stuff as the bunny.
