Can someone recommend what I need to buy to drill holes( for curtain rods) and fit screws ( for furniture)

This set should fit your purpose. If you work on heavy duty projects, then you need consider M18.

This is a good deal. Same deal got 47deal score last month, but it was only available at selected local stores then. Now everyone can get $199 price online.

Yes, this is a good deal if you're starting from scratch. For everyone else, not so much as we're spoiled by the recent surge of m12 FUEL deals.

Drill for drilling holes and either use that same drill to drive in screws or use an impact driver to screw stuff in if it's harder/high quantity.

If your buying power tools period diy or professional I'd recommend brushless tools this set is a brushed set and it only has 1.5 batteries. You can hack the m12 fuel 2 tool kit with a 4.0-2.0 batts in kit(buy the kit ,free Batt, return free batt) for 150$ish after return.

This is the exact set that I bought last year at this time that got me addicted to Milwaukee tools.

The only tools from this package that I have left are the light and hackzall as I have upgraded everything else, and bought a bunch more tools that I don't REALLY need as well...

Buyer beware, Milwaukee tools will make you want to buy more and build stuff with them.

I own the gen3 m18 fuel impact driver it out performs in every tool test I've watched. You can still find them clearance in depot. The gen 4 recently came out slightly higher ratings I don't own one however I've seen reviews people complain it over heats. Dewalt just came out with a new model impact driver a few days ago I have not seen reviews yet. Flex driver looks pretty impressive but it's also bigger and heavier than the fuel . My opinion the best is the gen3 m18 fuel but this question can be a matter of opinion and cause a huge debate. Watch some reviews on you tube and decide for your self.
